Here is your chance, tell us what you think...

As many of you know we are headed in a new and exciting direction with the clan. Right now we are putting together our mission statement and in doing this we need your input as valuable members of the community.
Q: What would YOU like to see us accomplish in 2014? Community or Competitve driven?
(We need everyones input in order to truly understand our members needs and wants in 2014 - you will determine the future course of this clan)

A in-house ranking system. Naturally, this will drive players to better themselves. Hosted tournaments. Actual functional teams. On the community level, I think some in-house matches with some of the top tier players as coaches would be good. LAN presence and such is not a major issue for me, mostly because I won't be eligible for any of the prizes. I find that there is already a lot of politics etc which I'm not all that fond of. Finding a game is laborious, end up waiting up to 2 hours to play or arrange a match, currently it's much simpler to just play solo... The mission statement I'd like is We were born from friends, fun and laughter. We learnt with smiles on our faces, we were diligent in our path and now we walk amongst the best, still smiling till the end

I think the clan is definitely moving in the right direction I agree with Kr1mm1L he took the words out of my mouth.

I think if you designate a team to be the representative team for CDT and put the best players in there then you might create an environment of elitism which obviously is bad for the community. Rather let captains choose their own players and if you go pro, well done for you and your team!

I want us to start playing a lot more clan only lobbies, because it boosts our friendship and lets us get to know each others play styles better. Also more activity with local players around us, I.E lan's or just random events, just so we can know each other out of the game a bit. Also Gun's point is good, we need a representative team, that can be used to lure sponsor's and even more players. The biggest thing i want tho is for us to become a friendly environment that people look forward to spending time with when you've had a bad day or you just want to have a fun time.

I believe better competitive teams should be a thing that we should look into, because skilled players deserve to be playing with skilled teammates at a higher level, right? I don't think it should be set out as A, B, C team though - think it should just be open to captains to start teams and develop and pick out the players they want in their team as I feel this would be a better way of doing it rather than the best players in team A - 2nd best in team B etc etc

i also agree on the whole Idea of the A team...there needs to be a team that everybody wants to belong to because they are the best however i also feel that this could kill the vision of the clan as for CDT's aim is not to compete competitive but sociable...i think if a team gets ranked in first or premier division the players who are competitive would try to get openings into this team so if you like it or not the competitive side will eventually be get its way into the clan...I personally feel i want to compete competitive but remember this is not our choice

I agree with Guns remarks with a Premier Team where we can rank higher on the Tournaments that we enter. I also agree with Teach on keeping this clan as sociable as possible. I mean at the end of the day none of us started playing a game just because were damn good at it. We play cause we enjoy the game and community that comes with it. I would like to see the clan making more waves in the media not just for our level of play but for our love of gaming. Teaching people how to play Dota or creating awareness for online gaming and gaming communities as a whole. In house tournaments is a great way to see where everyone ranks and to get the guys to play together. Community is a word that keeps on popping into my head when thinking about the clan and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that a Game could connect people from Sweden, Canada, UK, USA, Germany and South Africa. Where the only passport you need to cross the border is a good attitude and a willingness to have fun.

I think something short and sweet is more effective...CDT prides itself on being an international friendly community, with intent to frequent the competitive scene.

Love Gunslinger's idea on the "Best" of CDT team. This will encourage other players to strive for the top positions and also enforce a more competitive mindset among players. I know it isn't nice to be in the second or third team, but it also isn't nice to be a reserve. But these are all needed to motivate players to truly give their best. CDT is going to be around for years to come, and I'm sure we will see great achievements and changes in the near future.

I like Gunsling3r's idea! We could have a team that represents the competitive side of CDT.

Regarding to dota I'd like a team including the best players of CDT. One that will at least be able to make it semi-pro.

We need more CYKA! On the serious note i would like to see more inhouse matches that i am invited to play ^_^ . I was thinking about something like an inhouse league every night/week where 2 people are captains and they chose the rest of the team from the remaining pool of players and then we play Captains Draft :D

Id like to see some member growth, and I think Kr1mm1L's idea of CDT hosting tournaments is a great idea! Sounds like alot of admin work BUT it will be incredible for publicity! :D I also think some fun 'in-clan' mini competitions would be a cool idea... like a 3v3 only mid competition where the winning team gets a small R20 prize for bragging rights :)

Might need a few tweaks but - "Clan Dream Team - an international gaming community focused on providing a platform for members to better themselves, whether competitively or socially, whilst maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere where every player feels welcome."

Before my name is called out. LOL I think we are growing at a positive rate. Obviously hundreds members can only mean more opportunities for the clan and each team. I love the inhouse games, that we don't play often enough. This gives us all a great chance to learn about other members in the clan and also learn how to think on your feet. Picking and drafting with players we don't know so well, yet. I think the ultimate goal for CDT would be to host international tournaments, on a regular basis... think along the lines of the Starladder Series! ;)

I believe if we can get the community to grow then automatically the competitive side will be able to grow by itself. People who need to find members for their team will in future not have to look further than their own clan, CDT.

I think Connor's idea is good. We could have both community and competitive, atleast on some level. Perhaps a bit more community driven than competitive though..

More tourney games such as DGL, so our clan gets more popular and attracts more people joining us.

Thinking something along the lines of: "Clan Dream Team is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for Gamers of all walks of life. Whether it be in a social or a competitive environment, we are determined to become the bastions of good sportsmanship, fair play, and fun. " Could definitely use some work
